Attention Calorie Skeptics - Two Extremely Exciting Pieces of Low Carb News

Hello again everyone,

Well, Halloween is right around the corner, in all its corn syrupy goodness. Talk about a scary holiday.

Anyway, it has been months since the last Calorie Skeptic eZine went out. And it has also been months since I updated My apoligies: I have been hard at work creating a unique and very cool piece of content to help the low carb community.

But before we dive into that, I want to make a brief plug on behalf of my friend and supporter, Jimmy Moore, of Livin La Vida Low Carb. As you no doubt know, if you have ever surfed the web, Jimmy is essentially the godfather of the low carb community online. His podcasts feature a veritable Who’s Who of what my friend Zach once termed The Carborati. Anyway, Jimmy is starting up a paid Fan Club for his podcast. If you sign up by October 31st, you get a crazy discount as well as two free books. I, for one, am going to sign up as soon as I finish posting this eZine.

Okay, onto the main event. 4 months ago, something big hit me. I realized that, while plenty of websites and books out there tell you WHY low carb works and HOW to do it, few, if any, comprehensive resources exist to help those of us who already believe in low carb adapt to life in the ultra high carb world in which we find ourselves trapped.

We face so many challenges living in this land darkened by the long shadow of the USDA Food Pyramid, including:

1. Confusion about the low carb diet

2. Overwhelm about whom to trust for diet advice

3. Flak from low carb doubters and haters

4. Self-doubt and self-sabotage

5. Resource challenges (low carb consumes so much time and money, doesn’t it??)

6. Moral/ethical problems with aspects of low carbing

7. Sometimes low carb doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to. Why??

8. Urge to transform our communities and our world into a low carb utopia

I brainstormed a lot about these 8 challenges and did a bunch of independent research. And after 4 months of hard work, I am proud to present the fruits of that labor, an eBook called:

The Low Carber’s Survival Guide: practical wisdom for low carbers trapped in a high carb world.

Oh, and I did I mention the best part? The book comes with 2 amazing bonuses.

BONUS #1 -- An interview with low carb strength trainer, Fred Hahn. If you have never heard of Fred or of his Slow Burn exercise program, you are in for a treat. Fred’s revolutionary theories about fitness will blow your mind and forever alter how you think about exercise.

BONUS #2 -- An interview with none other than Gary Taubes himself. Yes, the man who penned Good Calories Bad Calories -- who inspired my website and no doubt hundreds of others -- talked to me for hours about an array of issues that I guarantee will fascinate anyone who has any interest in low carb issues.

The eBook will be available in a day or so, so stay tuned for an announcement about it!
